Today we are going to discover the great Instant Artist Maurizio Galimberti.
Considered the greatest Italian exponent of that artistic current that uses instant photography to express his creativity, Maurizio Galimberti was born in Como in 1965.
Always passionate about photography, he began his research by means of a rotating lens camera, using a classic analog film: with the arrival of the Eighties, which chose Polaroid as the new method of photographic investigation, Galimberti decided to abandon the ‘family activity to devote himself entirely to his passion, making Polaroid and the instant image “the common thread” of his entire artistic career.
His “mosaic” shots are famous, where the detail is immortalized by the Polaroid and manipulated with various techniques, to then be superimposed on the original.
